Possible Location of Jesus’ Trial Discovered

Another discovery that helps affirm accounts of Scripture was made in Jerusalem recently. Archaeologists believe they have found part of Herod’s Palace beneath an old, abandoned building next to the Tower of David Museum. The building is in Jerusalem’s Old City where some scholars believe Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate before He was sent to be crucified. The museum is beginning to show this extraordinary find through guided tours.

Some skeptics (who claim that their faith is based on evidence no less) will undoubtedly cry foul at this discovery and continue to claim that Jesus didn’t/doesn’t exist, but many Christians who plan to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land will most likely be adding this location to their stops. Wherever you believe Christ’s trial took place, discovering part of Herod’s Palace and more modern locations that tie back to Jesus’ physical time on this earth is great for Christians and sheds more light on our history.
