Stellar Kart: The Overflow – Day 5

Hello and welcome! This is the Geeks Under Grace daily devotional where we dive into the Bible everyday. We take devotionals from and read the verses, devotional, and give our own commentary. Sometimes we will have multiple writers, but most of the time it will be just me. I hope you enjoy and comment with your own commentary.
This devotional is titled “Stellar Kart – The Overflow Devo”. It is only 7 days long. I use the ESV bible but feel free to use the version of your choosing.

Ephesians 5:11-16
“11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
Titus 3:7-8
“7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8 The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.”

“Time’s Not Waiting” is a reminder that we are not guaranteed another minute in this life. So much of our time is spent on things that simply keep us busy. Deep down, we want to pursue the things that matter, but there are so many things that can distract us day after day that we don’t even realize how many opportunities we have missed. This song is a call to action. Be bold. Stand up for what you believe. Don’t just talk about change, make it happen today.
God saved us, not because of anything we can rationalize, but because of his mercy. If you believe that He sent His Son to die in order to save you from yourself and also to allow you to spend eternity with Him in heaven, you’re good to go. The story doesn’t end there, though. I want my faith to be known through my good works. I want people to look at my life and know without a shadow of a doubt where I stand and what I believe. That can’t happen if I don’t take action. “Say what you need to say. Do what you need to do. Love who you need to love.” There’s no better time than now to step up and show the world what you believe.

I was actually just thinking about this today. We have a limited time here on this Earth so why do we waste it? Why do we waste it doing fruitless things that do not matter? Why spend our lives stressing over things that do not matter when God has so much more for us. A real plan for your life. Not the world’s and certainly not yours. I have reached a point, myself, where if I do not do something productive then I feel as if a day was wasted that could have been doing something for the kingdom of God.
