Darkest Dungeon is most well known among PC gamers for being brutally difficult. As a dungeon-crawler that mixes in elements of the roguelike genre with RPG-style party management and Lovecraftian horror, soon that reputation will spread to consoles. Developer Red Hook Studios announced yesterday on the PlayStation Blog that the game will arrive on PS4 and Vita on September 27. The game will be cross-buy and will cost $24.99 or the local equivalent.
The PC version has been out of early access since the official launch in January, and any updates made to the game since then will be included in the PS4 and Vita versions. That means 15 hero classes and more than 40 town events will be available from Day One for console players.
