Lecrae wins second Grammy Award

In 2013, rapper Lecrae won his very first Grammy for Best Gospel Album with his album “Gravity.” This year, Lecrae was nominated for three more Grammy awards. His song “Messengers ft. For King & Country” was awarded the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. But he lost on a second Grammy to arguably one of the hottest Gospel artists Smokie Norful for his feature on Erica Campbell’s (One half of Mary Mary) hit song “Help.” The third Grammy Lecrae was nominated for was Best Rap Performance for his song “All I Need Is You” off of his latest album release, “Anomaly.” He lost the award to arguably the hottest rapper out right now Kendrick Lemar.

Still, winning any Grammy is such an accomplishment. Lecrae winning two in three years is an incredible feat for a Christian rapper.
